Bring popcorn and caramel apples, November Netflix recommendations

The crisp air encompasses the City of Oswego and nights are dawning more rapidly. Folks will be cozying up on their couch with a furry companion, some apple cider and a TV remote.

The question is, what will your next movie be now that Halloween has passed and you are looking forward to getting stuffed full of turkey and casserole at the family dinner table?

Here are some  fun Netflix suggestions for you and your inner circle to watch and enjoy during the month of November.

1.  “Yes Day”

Jennifer Garner (“The Adam Project”) and Edgar Ramirez (“The 355”) star as parents who typically play it safe when it comes to their children by always saying “no.” In order to prove to their kids that they are fun, they dedicate an entire day to saying “yes.” This is a fun movie to watch with little siblings when you visit for Thanksgiving Break.

2.  “Home”

This animated alien comedy is sweet and cute, if not super original. The main theme of this movie is trust. An alien, Oh (Jim Parsons, “The Big Bang Theory”) and a girl, Tip (Rihanna, “Guava Island”), have to trust each other to get things done and save her mom. Throughout the film, they have ups and downs in regard to the issue of trust. This movie is appropriate for any age group and the comedic anecdotes may never get old.

3.  “Jingle Jangle”

A toymaker gains newfound hope when his granddaughter comes into his life. Christmas adventures ensue. “Jingle Jangle” is a Christmas movie no doubt, but all the more likely that watching it will thrust you into a joyous holiday spirit.

4. “Murder Mystery”

“Murder Mystery” is a delightful romantic comedy. The story alone may lack effort and creativity, but in this anxious day and age, lighthearted rom-coms are just what viewers need for a nice fall night indoors. With  Jennifer Aniston (“Friends: The Reunion”) and Adam Sandler’s (“Hustle”) remarkable on-screen chemistry, this movie is a great choice.

5. “The Adam Project”

Actor Ryan Reynolds (“Deadpool 2”) stars as a time-traveling fighter pilot who encounters himself as a 12-year-old. The two team up to save the future. The film also stars Mark Ruffalo (“She-Hulk”) and Garner. Director Shawn Levy’s (“Free Guy”) cinematic eye for otherwise innocuous details really leaves a lasting impression. “The Adam Project” is a top pick for sci-fi and action appreciative viewers.

These great movie recommendations should be able to put viewers at ease for the upcoming month of November.
