The Oswego State menâs soccer team drew a tie in their last game of the season against the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils.
The Lakers traveled to Fredonia on Oct. 25 seeking to add one last win onto their record before the end of the season. Unfortunately, the Lakers had already been eliminated from playoff contention heading into this contest, falling two games behind Fredonia for the sixth seed in the tournament. The match between the Lakers and Blue Devils proved to be a test of two defenses, as there were no goals recorded by either team.
Laker goalkeeper Kyle Rose pitched a shutout with six saves on the day. Oswego was only able to take four shots on goal and nine shots total. The Lakers now look forward to the offseason and improving their squad for the 2026 season. The team will have eight players graduating this season, all valuable members of the group.
