Tully’s Tenders Rebuttal

By Ethan Stinson

Tully’s Good Times’ claim that they serve “The Best Chicken Tenders on Earth” may seem like a baseless marketing ploy to some consumers. However, those who take the time to try the restaurant’s signature dish may find the title to be completely warranted.

Tully’s brings everything to the table when it comes to crafting the perfect chicken tender. Their crispy, golden-brown breading and juiciness are sure to delight one’s taste buds.

For those looking for more variety past plain chicken tenders, the restaurant provides a couple different options to help spice things up. Aside from their tenders, Tully’s menu also offers Buffalo and Asian tender dinner, the latter of which is especially delicious. If tenders pre-prepared with condiments does not sound ideal, Tully’s also offers their delectable, homemade honey mustard sauce with every meal for those hoping to give their meal some extra flavor.

It is difficult to leave Tully’s hungry if you order their “Tully’s Tender Dinner.” The meal’s generous portion size, as well the tenders’ girth and thick breading, can assuredly fill any appetite. Some may find it difficult to finish their sides after eating the tenders, alone.

Though Tully’s menu contains a variety of other meals and food items, it is obvious their main focus is on their chicken tenders. Aside from main dishes, tenders may also be ordered as an appetizer, or be found in other menu items such as the “Tully’s Tenders Salad.” Their appeal even warrants them to be enjoyed alongside other dishes, as the restaurant also offers them as a side.

Tully’s confidence in their tenders is a testament to their quality. Since the opening of the counter-service “Tully’s University” at SUNY Binghamton, the chain has sent out a fleet of food trucks across Central New York, primarily serving chicken tenders and fries in their menu. The success of the initiative in Oswego led to the construction of the soon-to-open Tully’s Tenders, which will also possess a tender-centric menu. The menu item must have a great amount of appeal if the business is willing to center its operations around it.

Some argue that chicken tenders as a basic food item to order at restaurants. However, Tully’s dedication to the item is what gives them their charm. From its marketing to its tender-focused menu, the business has shown that it is highly confident in its ability to produce quality chicken tenders for customers to enjoy. The food’s adaptability and simplicity make it an accessible meal to enjoy, whether it be while watching sports games on one of the restaurant’s many televisions or enjoying a nice meal with friends and family. With to-go options and rising counter service options at the ready, Tully’s clearly wants their tenders to be enjoyed on a wide level, and they definitely should be.
