An 80-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday, according to a police statement.

Rosemary Beauchamp, of Oswego, was walking east across East Seventh Street when she was struck by a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The driver, Stephen Skinner, 48 of Oswego, was stopped on East Seventh St. to turn right. He made the turn just as Beauchamp entered the intersection.

Beauchamp was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No tickets have been issued yet. Alcohol involvement has been ruled out, but police are still determining the cause.
