The SUNY Oswego Real Estate Club will be hosting the Central New York Real Estate Conference in early November.
The conference will be held at Destiny USA and feature various breakout sessions, vendors, networking opportunities and a keynote speaker.
“The Central New York Real Estate Conference aims to bring together Central New York and empower the next generations of real estate investors, while also creating opportunities for seasoned professionals,” Ty Harte, the technology coordinator for the conference said.
This event was held last year on SUNY Oswego’s campus. There were about 200 attendees and it was held in a much smaller venue, according to Harte. This year, the Real Estate Club plans on doubling their numbers.
“This year we doubled everything, our goal is 400 ticket holders, 80 company vendor tables and 20+ speakers!” Harte said.
The Real Estate Club partnered with Kenwood to make the conference possible. Kenwood is a nonprofit that focuses on bringing hands-on experience to students through higher education outside of the classroom. Harte emphasized the importance of the student-run aspect of the event: “the students have been working so hard and putting in their all to make this event happen and it’s going to be huge!”
The target audience for this event is investors, first-time homebuyers, Central New York college students and professionals in development, banking or insurance. There will be 15 breakout sessions, 80 vendor showcases and a keynote speaker at the event, allowing attendees to get the most out of the day.
Harte emphasized the importance of the networking opportunities that can be gained through attending the conference.
“The number one most important part of the event is the networking opportunities. An event where there are 500+ real estate professionals and 80 companies in the real estate sector gathered under one roof is a rarity,” Harte said. “I think everyone should take advantage of this opportunity, boost your career and enhance your knowledge. You never know what your next connection will do for you!”
This event will take place on Nov. 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Destiny USA. Tickets are free for all students who plan to attend.
