Oswego State scored four goals in the third period to win 6-2. With the win, the Lakers moved to 15-4-1 (11-3-1 in ECAC West Conference Play) and William Smith fell to 2-17-1 (1-11-1).

The score was tied 2-2 heading into the third, with William Smith playing up to the superior competition. But, Alyssa Brockman, Alexa Aramburu, Bridget Hamlin and Brennan Butler all scored in the final period to earn the victory for the Lakers.

Junior Tori Trovato started between the pipes, and made 18 saves. The Lakers overall outshot the Herons overall, 47-20.

The Lakers come into Sunday’s game fourth in Div. III in team defense, surrendering only 1.35 goals per game. They trail Adrian (1.27) Amherst (1.26) and Gustavus Adolphus (1.14).

The Lakers are also 20th in team offense, but have been on a recent offensive surge that has moved them up the rankings. They have scored 18 goals in their last four games, and will look to continue on their recent success.

This will also be the last conference game the Lakers host, as next weekend they host Stevenson University in a non-conference matchup. The weekend after that they travel to No. 1 Elmira and play their last two games of the regular season.

With a win today, head coach Diane Dillon would get her 99th win with Oswego State. She has been head coach of the Lakers since the program was brought back in 2006.
