Coming off of a double-digit loss to the University of Rochester on Nov. 26, the Oswego State women’s basketball team fell 83-61 against SUNY Plattsburgh in Day One of White Out Weekend.

The Cardinals set the pace of the game right from the start, draining early three-pointers and running fast breaks off Laker turnovers.

Every time the Lakers seemed to start a run, Plattsburgh came back with a better run of their own, killing any momentum Oswego State could build.

The Lakers finished the game shooting 31.3 percent from the field and shot 63 percent from the free-throw line.

While scoring a team high 17 points in the loss, senior guard Jenn Robins went 6-of-18 from the field.

The Lakers were out-rebounded 55-43 by the bigger and quicker Plattsburgh team.

Oswego State will look to  bounce back with a victory tomorrow night when White Out Weekend continues with a game against SUNY Potsdam.
