Women's hockey player involved in late-night crash

An Oswego State women’s hockey player was involved in two-car crash on Route 481 near Churchill Road in Oswego at approximately 11:57 p.m. Saturday.

Kendra J. Lemire, a 21-year-old senior forward for Oswego State from Alberta, Canada, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt when it collided with a 2003 PT Cruiser driven by William S. Matott, 19, of Oswego.

Lemire was taken to Upstate University Hospital. She is listed in fair condition. Matott was ejected from his vehicle and was airlifted to Upstate where he is listed in critical condition.

Oswego City Police responded to the call. No tickets have been issued and the crash remains under investigation.
