Breaking: four arrests made in meth lab bust

The Oswego City Police Department arrested four people in conjunction to a mobile methamphetamine lab found Sunday in the Lowes Plaza parking lot off State Route 104.

The city police department pulled over a 2000 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a female. William Corcoran, 34, of Oswego was in the passenger’s seat and Corcoran’s seven-year-old niece in the back seat, according to a police press release.

The driver consented to a search of the vehicle which revealed items typically used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Corcoran was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree (class C felony) and endangering the welfare of a child (class A misdemeanor). He being held awaiting arraignment.

Additional information led the police to the upper apartment of 3 Mary St. where police found evidence of methamphetamine production.

Three people were arrested for conspiracy in the fifth degree after the investigation at 3 Mary St., including Carl Dashnaw Jr., 55, Heidi Dashnaw, 33, and Brianna Callen, 20.

Though Carl Dashnaw and Heidi Dashnaw are husband and wife, Callen is of no relation. The Dashnaw’s and Callen have been released on appearance tickets with a return date of Jan. 5 at 9:30 a.m.
