I'm a bad blogger, I really should be talking about this stuff...

Hi everyone and welcome to another blog post of the web designers blog. We have had our first issue posted and it was not without its problems. Let's get into them now. First, I learned that Indesign and XML uploads are not a 100 percent reliable on our CMS. Every attempt to upload an XML file of the paper only met with fail. Second, I also learned that individually uploading each story is an amazing time sink. Not only was time an issue but this strange persistent styling of the text leads to some articles crashing the entire page. Awesome. So now I have to strip out all these extra style tags just in time for the next issue. :) Lastly, third, I have come to the conclusion that the workflow for maintaining this website makes it necessary to bring onboard some additional assistance....Day five, the XML story

Today we were able to iron out the problem with the opinion XML upload option. So, we have opinion stories up. Hoo ray! I'm also thinking of generating a system for comics for this year. Does anyone know of any existing system for comics that is stable, please let me know.
Day four, The soft launch...

So, today is Tuesday. Monday we started the process to transfer our data to our for real domain. The process has been a fairly smooth one and there are only small problems to be straightened out. We are still having trouble with the XML upload feature but I believe we will iron out that problem within the week. Kind of a boring post today but it should pick up after the 31st.
Alright see you next time, same blog show, same blog channel!
Day one, (actually day 97 but that is a longer story)
