Q: My significant other wants me to go home with them this weekend, I really want to stay here this weekend and hang out with friends. What do I do?

A: You can put this trip in the back pocket. What I mean by this is take the loss and go home with your significant other and use this trip as a bargaining chip somewhere down the line. You can just go and try to enjoy it because, I mean, you did choose to get in this relationship, right? Also, it’s pretty low but fake a sickness. No one wants to bring that home.

Q: My boyfriend doesn’t like to go out on weekends with my friends and me. How do I get him to come out with us?

A: Well, you’ve got to understand most boyfriends look at the prospect of spending a night with their girlfriend’s friends as a prison sentence. While it’s a nice gesture for him to get to know some of your friends, remember he chose you, not them. The best option here is to offer some incentives, not bribery, but a trade-off. Maybe watch a football or hockey, game with him, or even let him choose your next couples outing.

Q: Someone has been consistently sub-tweeting me. Should I respond?

A: Most times when someone spends the amount of time to make a tweet generic enough to apply to any scenario, but specific enough to apply to you, they wanna talk about it. Take the bigger person route with this and address the issue. Most importantly, see how they react to you being vocal about their tweets. That should tell you their true intentions.
