Student Association Programming Board is presenting a Debate on Pornography on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. in the Hewitt Union Ballroom.
The debate will feature former porn star Ron Jeremy and Canadian author and activist Susan G. Cole.
Jeremy is one of the most famous porn stars of all time and Cole has spent her lifetime protesting it. The pair has been traveling to colleges and universities around North America as members of a speaker’s bureau sponsored by Wolfman Productions.
Cole is an active public speaker against pornography, while Jeremy stands by the billion dollar industry that has allowed him to star in over 2,000 films.
Jeremy and Cole have been formatting the debate as such: each speaker has 12 minutes for opening remarks, followed by Jeremy and Cole opening the forum up for questions from the crowd.
The event is free for students and faculty to attend.
