Blood, Sweat and Beers’ Adam DeMay, Hartley Ruch, Matt McDorman and Bibash KC were on top of their games, scoring two goals apiece for a 9-0 shutout against Gary’s Pub FC.

Outdoor volleyball’s games brought fun in the sun, feet in the sand and some competition between Sandy Creek and Team Shazam, with Sandy Creek edging out the win with a last minute victory of the third set, acquiring a 3-2 win.

Week one of softball showed some defensive skills, especially for team Dirty Mike and the Boys, who completed a 4-6-3 double play. Competition got tough between the Sons of Pitches and No Glove No Love with No Glove No Love taking a 10-7 win. Team Scared Hitless earned their name as they suffered a 15-2 loss against the Expos.

Campus Recreation teamed up with Residence Life and Housing to bring students Lakerfest, an end of the summer celebration on Onondaga field. Picture booths, airbrush tattoos and a Rock the Vote table were just some of the events held under the giant tent. Out in the sun, students were sending discs flying, competing in 1 v. 1 sumo wrestling and sending each other flying down a zip line.

With stands giving out popcorn, cotton candy and ice cones, students were able to say goodbye to summer in true Laker fashion.
