Campus Technology Services(CTS) will be making two important changes over the next few weeks.
The Banner team has scheduled the upgrade of Banner/myOswego to version 8.x, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 21. Banner and myOswego will not be available during the upgrade, which is expected to take four to five days, if all goes as planned. Banner and myOswego will be made available once the upgrade is completed, sometime between Wednesday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 29. Updates of our progress will be posted on myOswego and help desk web pages.
Campus Technology Services will also be debuting a new system for accessing the on-campus wireless network on Tuesday, Dec. 29. On this day, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., the campus wireless network will be unavailable while the new system is implemented.
The new wireless system will replace the VPN client currently required to access the on-campus wireless network. Among the benefits of the new system include latest operating system compatibility, support for 64-bit operating systems, and iPod Touch/iPhone compatibility. It utilizes new technology that comes with both Windows and Mac operating systems for authentication and security.
